Holy Ghost Stories

After a little too much Halloween programming on The Disney Channel the other day, my youngest girls were a little freaked out about the prospect of ghosts.

"There's no such thing as ghosts", my oldest reassured them, "they're just pretend on TV."

"Except for the Holy Ghost", my seven year-old reminded her.

"You can't see the Holy Ghost... He's clear", added the four year-old.

"Nuh uh, he's white", countered the seven year-old.

"Clear!"

"White!"

"Clear!"

The older one slugged the younger in the arm. "White."

"And delightsome", I said, sarcastically punctuating their argument. "There's no such thing as ghosts, not even holy ones. Now be good girls and go back to pestering your mother."
