I Wanna Taste Pazzaz

Do you realize how much water I'll now have to drink just to get the required levels of caffeine I used to get from Diet Dr. Pepper?

Natural Caffeine

You can take green tea pills. They help burn fat, reduce the risk of cancer, and have natural caffeine.

Yeah, but will they give me 4-hour erections? That's what I'm really looking for.

Gnaw...

on Jack Mormon coffee beans.

Been away for almost a week now, and had to catch up on your posts...I MUST get one of those mugs!

What - did you give up Diet Dr. Pepper for Lent?

Submitted by Pete on February 28, 2007 - 11:03am.

Lent is for people who believe in God, silly.

And here I thought we all did it just so we could be cool...but that would be just me, trying not to be conspicuous.

How often I forget that I live in the land of make-believe called the Bible Belt. I CAN'T LET THEM GET ME!! AAARRGGHHH!!

Here's the question you SHOULD be asking...

Who the hell cares about caffeine? It's the Aspartame I'd be worried about. Drink coffee, it may tan your tummy, but it won't cause brain tumors. :)

I guess Brother Joe didn't have this figured when he created the WoW. Oh that's right, Joe didn't follow the WoW to begin with... Oh well.

On a positive note... Dr. Pepper is certified kosher. ;)

Ah Kosher... an even older religious dietary code I hav e no interest in following. :)

hmmm...never seen it spelled out like that. interesting.

why are you giving it up? fuck that. lame. stand up for what you believe in.

this is bad news all around.

Submitted by Pete on February 28, 2007 - 5:42pm.

I believe in feeling well and being healthier overall. This is one more step on that path.

If that's lame, so be it.

i am a caffeine junky, so i tend to be cynical when others try to give it up. i am like the little devil on your shoulder. :( my bad...

i drink 64 oz of diet mtn dew a day. minimum. i justify it cuz i don't do it on the weekends.

i tend to have some sort of justification for every bad habit that i possess. it's ok cuz i own it.

Submitted by Pete on March 1, 2007 - 11:54am.

I have plenty of bad habits. This is just one I don't really need. You're more than welcome to sit on my shoulder and tempt me though. That's always acceptable.

Yeah, why the hell did I spell it out? Fixed :)

MMM...Asparteme Burn...MMM....

Imbibing in the "Dark Waters" is perhaps my favorite activities.

I cannot stop my Diet Coke habit. I would have a stroke from withdrawl. Seriously, it is too late for me. It is like a tumor that has wrapped a billion tentacles around my spine and would cause death to remove.

Besides that, I love it.

Ahhh. But the best burn and caffiene buzz is Tab. I yearn for it , and can't always find it . Mmmmmmm.....Tab. Right now I have to substitute Diet Coke.

Would it be like when Captain Picard became the Borg king, Locutus?

Caffeine Withdrawl
Submitted by Bodhi (not verified) on March 1, 2007 - 3:44pm.

I've been trying to cut back on my DP intake (it's not exactly cheap to down 3-4 cans a day, and yeah, my health isn't that great when I'm doing so) but the headaches were awful at first. Then I started upping the amount of tea I drank... 3-4 cups a day is fantastically good for you, and the caffeine content is there, without all that sugar (or even worse, sugar substitute).
And the whole tannin/"they use that to tan leather!" argument (often spouted by the mo-mo crew) is nonsense. The tannins used to make the leather tanning fluids come from oak. Plus, yes, there are tannins in teas, but they are also in wines, and pomegranates... but no one goes around saying "Hey! Don't eat that pomegranate! It's like eating tanning solution!"

(and this Captcha is making me laugh... so topical)
