Not In The Mood

For the first time in months, I'm not really in the mood to write a post. Instead of giving y'all a big, fat digital fuck you, I'll try to muster something worth reading.

I can't pinpoint exactly what's put me out of the writing mood. Perhaps it's the skant ration of sleep I've been getting thanks, in no small part, to the forty-five point six pounds of snot that's been living in my head for almost two weeks now. Maybe it's the insurmountable pile of work I haven't been able to crawl out from under in almost six months. Or maybe it's just the Elton John I'm listening to... but then again, no.

All I know is that I am in desperate need of a vacation. Oh sure, I'm taking a couple days off here and there over the next few weeks. That will be nice but it just won't cut it. I need the kind of vacation that makes you not just forget what day of the week it is but that makes you forget what city you are in and what year your kids were born.

In lieu of that, I'm working my way through a barrel of Tootsie Rolls large enough to supply an aircraft carrier galley.

right here on my desk!! they are kind of old tootsie rolls, so they are kinda hard, which is exactly the way i love em.

we are living in a parallel universe these days, my friend. i feel the exact. same. way.

blah. i had a beer, too. and that didn't even help.

p.s. it's "scant" not skant. but the "k" makes it very chic.

I wondered that when I typed it. I'm going to leave it though because of this...
