I had a co-worker -- who I liked a lot, and thought was my friend -- at a job who created a list of every small screw-up I made in six months, then presented the list to my boss. I realized in that moment that my co-worker was treating real life like a PvP online game: the person who gets the first strike almost always wins.
Rather than let it get me down, I decided to ignore it, move on to another job, and keep much more tight-lipped with most of my co-workers. I don't disclose much information to people that I may distrust, and I only trust people who I know the dirt on.
Works pretty well. Takes a while to establish new friendships, though.
They usually get in a few kicks while you are down there, too.
Write the diatribe for no other reason than it will make you feel better to get it out. But yeah, I wouldn't post it.
